Lincoln-Way West Varsity Dance Team Finishes 15th in State

Lincoln-way West Varsity Dance team members notched a 15th place finish after competing Friday in the Class 2A state finals at U.S. Cellular Coliseum in Bloomington, according to the Illinois High School Association website.
There were 90 total teams that competed in the prelims at the state meet in the Class 1A, 2A and 3A divisions from across Illinois on Friday. The top 10 teams in each division, according to the IHSA website.
This appearance marks the team's second consecutive at state finals. The team finished on a score of 83.34 in a field of 30 total teams.
The team snagged second place at its Stagg section to qualify for State.
