Will County Coroner and Scholarship Recipients

Rotary Club welcomed Patrick O'Neil and Rotary Scholarship recipients.

At its regular meeting on Thursday, May 23, The Rotary Club of New Lenox welcomed Will County Coroner Patrick O'Neil and seven high school seniors who are the 2013 Rotary Scholarship recipients.

Mr. O'Neil gave a presentation on the growing and dangerous problem of heroin addiction and what can be done about it.

Every year, The Rotary Club of New Lenox presents seven high school seniors from the 3 New Lenox high schools with a $500 Rotary Scholarship.  Each recipient was chosen by his/her Principal as students who stand out in very special ways, especially as it pertains to the Rotary motto of Service Above Self, to receive this award.  This year we welcomed 3 students from Lincoln Way Central, 3 students from Lincoln Way West, and 1 student from Providence Catholic and awarded the scholarships.  The Rotary Club of New Lenox congratulates these upstanding young people and wish them the best of luck in their future endeavors!
