Sara Evans and the Latest NLCTV Programming

Sara Evans played at the New Lenox Commons this past Friday and she did not disappoint. Even though there was less of a crowd then the Triple Play series, all were there for Sara. She even took some pictures with fans before she went on stage.

Growing up on the south side of Chicago I was diehard Hard Rock fan, I have an ‘original’ LOOP T-Shirt hanging in my garage. Then at some point I appreciated Country Music. One of my favorite concerts was George Jones at the Chicago Theater in the early nineties. He open for Conway Twitty and in my opinion he stole the show. 

Sara Evans is one of the ladies of country in the likes of Martina McBride (who I got to see at Union Station last summer). Sara did my favorite song, which happened to the first song I ever heard from her ‘Suds in the Bucket’ and it kicked our country butts. She closed with a Tammy Wynette’s classic ‘Stand by Your Man’ and ended with Cheap Trick’s ‘I Want You to Want Me’. Thank You Sara!   I hope we get more country acts next summer.
