My name is Rich Orlowski; I am a volunteer for New Lenox
Community TV (NLCTV, channel 6 on Comcast).
NLCTV is staffed by one village employee, while the rest of us are
volunteers that do this for our passion to our community and TV. The volunteers are from all walks of life here in New Lenox and as well as from other villages and towns. I am here blogging for the Patch so that the residences of New Lenox can get to know NLCTV.
I plan on letting you know about the current programming schedule, comment on any
upcoming programs and tapings, what it is like being a volunteer, and also to let others know how they can get to be part of NLCTV.

I would also like to blog (every now and then) on anything else
regarding TV out there, but the focus of the blog will primarily be on
NLCTV. I went to Columbia College in Chicago and wanted to get into TV, but in order to pay the bills I needed to work and then life took over and now I have been at my current job for over 25 years, but I have NLCTV.
According to my mother I was named after Richie Petrie of the old Dick Van Dyke show. So I guess I have a little TV heritage in me.

I have been a resident in New Lenox since 2001, my son Ethan is a freshman at LW Central and is one of the volunteers at NLCTV.
