New Life Church Cadets Host Parent Preview Night

New Life Church Cadets offer a faith-based scouting opportunity for boys and their families. A new year of Cadets kicks off on Wednesday, August 29, at the church with a parent preview meeting at 7 p.m. While the boys get to know each other through supervised games, parents will meet with the Cadet leaders to hear what's new for the 2012-13 season and review the calendar, which includes the fall camp out at Kankakee State Park September 14-16 and a tailgate event at the Chicagoland Speedway on September 22. Regular service projects, badge work, an annual mother-son Christmas party, the winter Pinewood Derby and a spring canoe trip are other highlights of the program which runs September through April.

The $45 registration dues include all materials for the year. The September camp out cost is $20. Cadets is open to boys in 2nd through 8th grade.
