Voter Turnout: Who Was Best and Worst in New Lenox

Only 22 percent of registered voters in New Lenox cast a ballot in the March 20 primary.

About 22 percent of registered voters actually cast a ballot in New Lenox last week, slightly above the average for the rest of Will County.

County Clerk Nancy Shultz Voots originally predicted a 30 percent turnout, but that didn't happen. In Will County, 20.66 percent of registered voters actually cast a ballot. That's 76,827 ballots from 371,928 registered voters.

The county cut polling places this year to save money, . The highest voter turnout in New Lenox was at , where nearly 29 percent of registered voters cast a ballot. The lowest turnout was at , with just 16 percent.
