PHOTO GALLERY: Veterans Honored With Memorial on the Commons

New Lenox honored Veterans Day with a memorial service at the last week. Members of the local and the , along ith the Cadets, joined the honor guard as they presented flags and shared words of gratitude for those who have served our country.

"On behalf of the Village of New Lenox, we are greateful for all of your service to our country, past, present, and future," New Lenox Mayor Tim Baldermann said.

Taps was played and a 21-gun salute echoed throughout the commons at the conclusion of the service. Following the ceremony, the VFW Post hosted a small gathering, serving hotdogs for all who wanted to attend.
