What a way to cap a first season.
After being created just last June, the Cheer Envy Allstars in the COA Ultimate Nationals last month in Orlando. The team was honored Monday night at the Village Board meeting.
"Thank you to everyone involved," Mayor Tim Baldermann said. "You're representing our community very well."
The team includes Jessica Abbott, Rachel Benda, Madison Edwards, Haylie Farmer, Isabella Goebel, Rebecca Hagadus, Kara Hogan, Taylor Jacobs, Erica Johnson, Drew Litynski, Baylee Mankiewicz, Jenna Martino, Bree McCabe, Taylor McGovern, Julie Miner, Kaylen Stelmaszek, Natasha Tuminello, Marissa Valencia and Lily Valentine.
The team is coached by Rebecca Bradshaw, Emily Broadhurst and Marcy Valentine, and was created by Broadhurst, Tammi Chavez and Daniela Valencia.

Road Maintence Funds
Following an Illinois Department of Transportation audit, the Village Board passed number of resolutions to appropriate Motor Fuel Tax money to maintain roads, with some projects dating back to the new millenium. The total appropriations was $50,000.
Trustee Ray Tuminello said that the board is looking into what's become a common and unwelcome occurrence: car accidents at the intersection of Schoolhouse Road and Joliet Highway.
There have been at least cars that have gone off the road and into private property on the northeast corner of the intersection, and the resident wants to know if there's anything the village can do to help. Tuminello said he's going to help to review crash reports to see if there are any trends in the weather, time and other factors.
Vietnam Moving Wall
The board reminded residents that the Vietnam Moving Wall is . The Vietnam Moving Wall, a half-scale replica of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial in Washington, D.C., will be on display at the American Legion post at 14414 Ford Drive.
"It's really something to witness," Trustee David Butterfield said. "It's a somber time."
The wall will be here from May 26-31, with an opening cermony at 4 p.m. May 27 and a closing ceremony at 7 p.m. May 31.
