S. Marley Road Access onto Route 30 Closes Today
The intersection is being rebuilt as part of the Route 30 road construction project.
Starting Wednesday, Sept. 19, S. Marley Road will be closed at Route 30 as the state continues work on the massive road construction project through the villages of New Lenox, Mokena and Frankfort.
New Lenox Village Engineer Will Nash said the intersection rebuild project is expected to take about a month to complete. In the meantime, a detour will be set up on Spencer Road, about a half-mile west of S. Marley Road.
Once that's complete, said Nash, it should make driving pattern much smoother.
