Why do you think you should be a trustee for New Lenox Public Library District, and what does the position mean to you?
As a teacher and a reader, I think the public library is one of our important resources. I would like to be a part of maintaining and enhancing the resources the library has to offer to the community.
What do you see as the three biggest issues facing the Library?
Find out what's happening in New Lenoxwith free, real-time updates from Patch.
1) Balancing the issues of electronic information and resources with paper and ink information and resources.
2) Being fiscally responsible while trying to maintain or extend library hours and offerings.
3) Making sure the public continues to be informed of all the library has to offer through various media outlets.
How do you plan to address those issue if elected? I plan to work with the rest of the board members to address these issues, along with any others that come up. The board has a good working relationship with the staff at the library and I plan to continue to work with both the board and the staff to meet the needs of the public.
