Tim Baldermann, the mayor of New Lenox, was hired last week as superintendent of the Union School District 81, which serves children from Joliet and New Lenox. The district only has one school and a little more than 100 students. Baldermann's contract is three years and will pay $127,000 annually.

"My goal was always to get into education after I retired as police chief," said Baldermann, who doesn't have a background in education but has his superintendent's certification.

"The district only has one school and a little more than 100 students. Baldermann's contract is three years and will pay $127,000 annually." That's all you need to know. Balderman is getting $1207 PER STUDENT. $1207 comes out to a whopping $134 PER MONTH for each student- all without him teaching or doing any real work. Stop being sucker taxpayers and fix the machine- it is broken.
