I-80 Lane Closures Saturday in New Lenox

Because of routine bridge inspections, a westbound right lane will be closed between 6:30 a.m. and 10 a.m., and the eastbound right lane will be closed between 10 a.m. and 1:30 p.m.

Interstate 80 lanes will be closed over Route 30 in New Lenox on Saturday, April 21, for routine bridge inspections. 

In a news release, the Illinois Department of Transportation announced the inspections will require lane closures, weather permitting.

A westbound right lane will be closed between 6:30 a.m. and 10 a.m., and the eastbound right lane will be closed between 10 a.m. and 1:30 p.m.

The inspections are required by the Federal Highway Administration. IDOT said drivers should anticipate delays and allow extra time for trips through this area. A news release asks drivers to obey the speed limit, observe closure signs and remain alert for workers.
