Voss Homes owns the 500-acre property, and the village is hoping to get a 20-acre land donation in exchange for extending Nelson Road, which runs through the planned residential area. Voss Homes would save money on future road construction and the village wouldn't have to pay for land.

Baldermann said there isn't a deal in place yet, and the exact location for the facilities hasn't been decided. But he said the west end, off Gougar Road, would likely be the best option because there aren't any homes over there.
