Village Board Meeting Agenda, Jan. 9

The New Lenox Village Board meets the second and fourth Monday of every month.

On tonight's meeting agenda, the board will discuss the annexation of a property at 225 W. Wood St. and a special use permit for the property to be a large residential care home.

The board will also consider the approval of an engineering contract regarding the Canadian National construction on the EJ&E railroad line, as well as intergovernmental agreements with Will County and New Lenox Township for quiet zones at all crossings in New Lenox.

Earlier in the day, two committees will meet:

  • The streets and drainage commitee meets at 10 a.m. to discuss an update to local road construction.
  • The sewer and water committee meets at 6:30 p.m. to discuss well water in the village.
