Election Central New Lenox: 2013 April Elections

In The early January objection to candidate Kathy Miller's petition sparked a firestorm that led to an outcry when she was temporarily kicked off the ballot and later put back on by a Will County Judge John Anderson.

Miller's attorney has initiated a civil suit against Member Maureen Broderick, who has been accused of rigging the objection to Miller's petition. Broderick has described the suit as a threat. It was filed by Miller after Broderick refused to resign from the board.

Write-in candidate Todd Hyatt is opposing Miller in her run for a 2-year term.

There are eight candidates running for 4-year terms. 

The incumbents for the 4-year term are:

  1. Patrick Martino, incumbent
  2. Deborah Kedzior, incumbent
  3. Sue Smith, incumbent
  4. William Pender, who was initially appointed in August to fill the remaining  two years of a term left by resigning Member Sue Gillooley.

The four newcomers are:

  1. Thomas Hottinger
  2. Philip Adair
  3. Gregory Loock
  4. Rhonda Starklauf

The New Lenox Library Board is another contested race. All total there are six candidates running for three seats. They are:  

  1. Gary Suggett
  2. Michelle DeBella Monbrod 
  3. Louis J. Broccolo (current board president)
  4. Mary Susan Zekich
  5. Bonnie M. Ulstad
  6. James Allen

New Lenox Park District Commissioners:

Lincoln-Way High School Dist. 210 Board of Education:
