Take a look at some of the items discussed at last week's New Lenox Village Board meeting.

American Legion Sign: Approval was granted for the American Legion to install a temporary sign, which Commander Paul Chen said will help advertise the banquet facility and community events.

"This project of adding a temporary sign will help the post bring in much needed revenue. Our building/banquet hall expansion went well over our estimated budget due to unanticipated delays," Commander Paul Chen said in a letter to the Village Board.

Chen said he wants to use the temporary sign for one year, with the long-term goal being the purchase of an LED message board.
