It's the most detailed counts available thus far and shows information on age, sex, households, families, race and more, including the ability to break down information to the block within a town.

Today's Fact: One-third of veterans in New Lenox served during the Vietnam War. There is no official count offered yet for the number of veterans in New Lenox, but they are broken down by percentages. Here's a deeper look at the numbers:

  • 34.3 percent of local veterans served in the Vietnam War. 22 percent were in the first Gulf War, 9 percent in World War II and 7.5 percent in the Korean War. 2.3 percent have served in Post-9/11 wars.
  • 95 percent of veterans here are men.
  • 49 percent of local veterans are between the ages of 35 and 54.
