Woman Parks Car in the Middle of the Road; DUI and Drug Charges Pending

New Lenox woman is picked up by police for parking her car in the lane of traffice in the wee hours of the morning.

Kathleen Hurley, 48, of the 700 block of Lake Road, was arrested just before 1 a.m. for having parked her car in the driving lane at Route 30 and Williams Street.

According to the report, her vehicle was parked in the roadway. Police cited her for DUI and discovered that she was also driving on a suspended license. New Lenox police issued the report just before 2 p.m.

She was taken to the Will County jail. The Will County Sheriff's Office noted that Hurley was booked in at 1:30 p.m. Jan. 28 on several pending charges. Specifically, it includes two felonies—aggravated DUI and possession of a controlled substance. In addition, records reveal that she faces allegations of driving on a suspended license, parking violations and operating an uninsured vehicle. No bond information was available.
