Blown Stop Sign, Speeding Leads to Accident

Ruth W. Jones, 51, of the 11800 block of W. 195th Street in Mokena, was cited for disregarding a stop sign and failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident at the intersection of W. Laraway Road and S. Pfeiffer Road in Frankfort.

WEDNESDAY, NOV. 28

Holiday Inflatable Stolen From Yard

Unknown persons stole a large inflatable dog from the front yard of a residence on the 20000 block of S. Ellen Lane in Frankfort. The dog was four-foot, 6-inches tall and was wearing a Santa hat, with a stocking that said “Merry Christmas” hanging from its mouth.

THURSDAY, NOV. 29

Burglars Take Thousands in Lawn Equipment

Unknown persons broke into Prize Lawn Care, on the 9400 block of W. St. Francis Road in Frankfort, and stole $3,860 worth of chainsaws, blowers and hedge trimmers.

Mum Plants Stolen From Government Office

Unknown persons stole five mum plants from the front entrance of the Frankfort Township Administrative Office, on the 11000 block of W. Lincoln Highway in Frankfort.

Graffitists Strike Shed 

Unknown persons spray-painted graffiti on three sides of a shed on the 7400 block of W. Lakeside Drive in Frankfort.
