Driving on a suspended license

Gina Desmond, 36, Sycamore, was stopped in her car in the 300 block of Route 30 after a random registration check revealed that her license had been suspended. She was ticketed for operating an uninsured vehicle as well driving on a suspended license.

MONDAY, NOV. 5

Weed possession complicates traffic violation

James Turner, 24, Matteson, was charged with possession of marijuana and possession of drug equipment by New Lenox Police. According to the report, he was stopped in his car at Route 30 and Interstate 80 after a random registration check revealed that he was driving on a suspended license.

After a closer look, police said they discovered that Turner had what appeared to be weed and drug paraphernalia with him. All total, he was charged with possession of both marijuana and drug paraphernalia and additionally cited for driving on a suspended license. He was taken to the local police station, where he posted bond.

Suspended license violation

Lindsey Tomazin, 26, Mokena, was stopped in her car at Cedar and Francis Roads after a random registration check came back positive for a violation. She was ticketed for driving on a suspended license.

Dish Network account opened fraudulently 

Police say someone from the 200 block of Deerfield Lane complained that an account was set up without his permission at Dish Network. The fraudulent account was established with the victim's financial information.
