Wallet Stolen From Car Parked in New Lenox

The car was left unlocked, police said.

A wallet was stolen out of a parked car left unlocked on South Cedar Road.

The police learned of the crime shortly before noon Thursday.

An "officer was dispatched to the 300 block of South Cedar reference a report of burglary to vehicle," police said. "The complainant advised that an unknown person entered his unlocked vehicle and removed his wallet."

The matter was sent to the department's investigations division for review.

Again.... This is police blotter material at best. People who leave car doors unlocked and leave wallets in cars deserve to lose their wallet. Not news worthy.
