Vodka and a Movie Don't Mix When It's Stolen not Stirred: Police Blotter

New Lenox police stack up tickets for driving on a suspended license and nab one for retail theft.

MONDAY, NOV. 19

Driving on a suspended license

Mario Chaves, 49, Harvey, was stopped in the 1800 block of W. Route 30 and ticketed for driving on a suspended license and for operating an uninsured vehicle.

Robert Gryczewski, 51, Kankakee, was stopped for not having a valid safety sticker on his vehicle. Police discovered that he was driving on a revoked license. He was ticketed for both traffic offenses. 

Nicole Gonzalzes, 18, Homer Glen, was stopped at Gougar Road and Route 30, and ticketed for driving on a suspended license and for operating an uninsured vehicle.

Mayra Rendon, 35, Joliet, was stopped in her car at Gougar Road and Route 30. She was ticketed for driving on a suspended license and for operating an uninsured vehicle.

Purse stolen

A woman told police that while loading bags in her car parked in a lot in the 2500 block of E. Route 30, her purse was stolen from a cart.

TUESDAY, NOV. 20

Suspended license violation

Daniel DiBiaso, 34, Palos Hills, was stopped for speeding at the intersection of Cedar and Francis Roads. He was additionally ticketed for driving on a suspended license.

Dioniso Santana, 26, Aurora, was caught in a random registration check at Laraway Road and Tower Street. He was ticketed for the violation.

Allen Hubbard, 41, Plainfield, was stopped in his car in the 500 block of E. Route 30 and cited for driving on a suspended license and for operating and uninsured vehicle.

Jewelry stolen from house

Someone told police that jewelry was stolen from her home in the 2700 block of Southwind Drive. Police are investigating the incident.

WEDNESDAY, NOV. 21

Vodaka and a movie stolen

Nicole Yost, 22, Manhattan, was charged with retail theft after having allegedly attempted to leave Walmart without paying for a bottle of vodka and a DVD. She posted bond and was released.

Warrant for failure to appear

Anthony Gardner, 18, Crest Hill, was arrested after police got a call of a suspicious vehilce at Northgate Drive and Woodlawn Avenue. A computer check of his license plate revealed that he had an outstanding warrant out of Jackson County for failure to appear in court.

Insignia stolen off car

Someone complained to police that the insignia on his car was stolen while the vehicle was parked in a lot in the 500 block of E. Route 30.
