James Robinson, 27, Chicago, was charged with battery after he reportedly punched a photographer stationed at Walmart in the 500 block of E. Route 30 for snapping a picture without his permission. Robinson posted bond and was released.

Stopped for Stealing $28 Worth of Merchandise
Denise Petrick, 35, Mokena, was charged with retail theft. According to the report, she attempted to leave Walmart without paying for $28 worth of merchandise. She posted bond and was released.

Speeding Offense Results in Ticket
Rocky Carter, 21, Chicago, was stopped for speeding on Route 30 and Gougar Road. A check of his license plate revealed that he was driving on a suspended license as well. He was ticketed and released.

Random Registration Check Nabs Three
Juvenal Herrera-Ramirez, 45, Joliet, was stopped at Francis and Gougar Roads after police conducted a random registration check of his vehicle. He was found driving on a suspended license. He was ticketed and released.
Manuel Rodriguez, 29, Joliet, was stopped in his car at Creekside Drive and Francis Road after police discovered that his license had been suspended. He was ticketed and released.
Macrina Aviles, 37, Joliet, was ticketed and released after police conducted a random registration check of her vehicle in the area of Route 30 and Gougar Road. She was ticketed and released.
