Top Headlines: Child Pornography-Cocaine Arrest, Pediatrician Up on Groping Charges

This week's biggest stories involved arrests for alleged crimes that are disturbing.

The first story involves a New Lenox man and his relationship with an underage girl from Tinley Park. Another disconcerting story involves a Frankfort pediatrician arrested for groping women; the complaints go back a number of years.   

In the top story, a New Lenox man is facing two counts of child pornography and manufacture or delivery of cocaine.

Michael McGrath, 22, of the 100 block of Terry Ellen Lane, was busted in what started as a narcotics investigation by New Lenox police. During searches on Feb. 8 and Feb. 12, "sexually explicit photos of an underage girl" from Tinley Park were found, Sgt. Louis Alessandrini said.The initial search reportedly uncovered videos and photos on his cell phone.

The girl, who was later discovered to be from Tinley Park, "was more than five years younger than him," Alessandrini said.

Another story pertains to allegations of sexual abuse of five women over a period of years.

A Frankfort pediatrician accused of sexually abusing five women in his office was arrested on a warrant Friday by Frankfort police, according to a press release from the Frankfort Police Department.

Dr. Kishor Jain is charged with 10 felony counts of criminal sexual abuse and five misdemeanor counts of battery related to a 2011 complaint and subsequent lawsuit, as well as recent reports from additional victims.
