Tinley Park Driver Accused of Drunken Driving Ran a Stop Light: Blotter

New Lenox police reports, Oct. 12-13.

SUNDAY, OCT. 13

Kelly Ryan, 39, of the 8200 block of Pecan, Frankfort, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, disobeying a traffic control device and speeding, according to a New Lenox police report. Ryan was arrested at about 2:19 a.m. near the intersection of Route 30 and Bluestone Bay. A cop reported seeing her vehicle disobey a traffic control device and clocked her driving faster than the posted speed limit. During the traffic stop, police found that Ryan was under the influence of alcohol. She posted bond and was released.

Luke Smith, 33, of the 7000 block of West 183rd Street, Tinley Park, was charged with driving under the influence and disobeying a traffic control device, according to a report. Police said Smith was driving at about 2:21 a.m. on Route 30 near I-80 when a cop saw him disobey a traffic control device. Smith allegedly was under the influence of alcohol during the stop. He posted bond and was released.
