Thief Escapes Walmart But Tracked Down & Collared by Cops: Police

The Orland Park man also had a suspended driver's license, police said.

An Orland Park man escaped the New Lenox Walmart with more than $400 worth of electronics but was tracked down and captured by the cops, police said.

Jeffrey Kurinec, 28, of 16508 Lee St was taken into custody shortly before 6 p.m. June 19.

An officer sent to the East Lincoln Highway superstore was reportedly told Kurinec had taken off but was provided with a description and the license plate number of the car he fled in.

"The officer located the vehicle and conducted a stop," police said.

The officer was told "Kurinec took electronics valued at over $450 and placed them in a bag and left the store without paying for the merchandise," police said.

Kurinec was taken to the Will County jail.
