The Agony of the (Suspected) Ecstasy

An Orland Park man caught stealing from Walmart apparently also had some ecstasy on him, police said.

An Orland Park man caught filching $20 worth of merchandise from the New Lenox Walmart was carrying a suspected ecstasy pill at the time of his arrest, police said.

Patrick Collins, 21, of 10347 W. 147th St. was taken into custody at the East Lincoln Highway superstore shortly before 10 p.m. Sunday.

An officer was sent to the Walmart to check out a report of thievery. There, he learned "Collins had removed approximately $20 worth of merchandise from the store without paying for it," police said. "While investigating the retail theft, (the) officer discovered that Collins was in possession of a controlled substance."
