Spare Tire Stolen in New Lenox

The New Lenox Police Department's investigations division is after a spare tire thief.

A spare tire was stolen from a vehicle in New Lenox.

The theft was discovered in the 1900 block of East Lincoln Highway about 3 p.m. on Jan. 18.

The matter was sent to the department's investigations division for review.

Seriously ? This is news worthy ? What a joke . How about writing a story about the foreign dead beat owners of Mattina Cafe who moved their restaurant three times after not paying rent ,getting sued for back rent and breaking and entering , then they file bankruptcy move to a new location and do the same thing again .

It sounds like a joke until someone cuts your spare from under your vehicle. You have no idea it's missing until you have a flat on the side of I-94 and it's -2 degrees. It's not funny when you have to replace a $300 rim and a $200 tire. When they find 4 of the same wheel, they sell the set on craigslist. What make/model rim did they get?
