Somebody Tried to Pry Prescription Pain Pills Out of New Lenox Target

The New Lenox Target was targeted by a prescription fraudster.

The New Lenox police investigated a case of attempted prescription fraud at Target.

The fraudster hit the East Lincoln Highway superstore Tuesday morning.

An officer was "dispatched to the Target reference a complaint of prescription fraud," police said. "The complainant advised that an unknown subject attempted to obtain Norco using a fraudulent prescription."

Norco is an "opioid pain medication," according to Drugs.com. It contains a combination of acetaminophen and hydrocodone.

The New Lenox Police Department's investigations division is on the case.
