DUI Damages 3 Cars

A Lockport man was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol after his car slid into a parked car, which in turn hit another. The Will County Sheriff's police said Anthony B. Camacho, 30, of Lockport, was driving too fast for the conditions and failed to slow down to avoid an accident last Friday evening. He hit a vehicle that was parked legally along the 800 block of Buckboard Drive, and that vehicle struck another vehicle that was parked in front of it.

Purse Stolen at LW-Central

An 18-year-old student at Lincoln-Way Central told the Sheriff's Department that someone stole her purse while she was practicing for a musical at school. She placed her purse in the room adjacent to the auditorium and later noticed it missing.

Police Blotter information is provided by law enforcement agencies. Charges are not evidence of guilt. They are a record of police actions taken on a given day, and persons charged with a crime are presumed innocent until proven guilty in court. If you or a family member are charged or cited and the case is subsequently adjudicated, we encourage you to notify the editor. We will verify and report the outcome.
