Shed Burns Down, New Lenox Firefighters Douse Blaze

No injuries were reported in an early morning fire on July 17.

What firefighters described as a shed went up in smoke on July 17 in the 1400 block of Spencer Road. 

According to New Lenox Fire Dept. Battalion Chief Adam Riegel, firefighters were called to the scene at 6:28 a.m. July 17 in the 1400 block of Spencer Road. It took about 30 minutes to get the blaze under control. Firefighters remained on the scene for about four hours.

A rough estimate of damage is $30,000, said Riegel. The fire is still under investigation.
