Seat Belt Violation Triggers Controlled Substance Arrest: Police Blotter

Unauthorized prescription drugs were seized in a traffic stop.

A 29year-old Chicago man was spotted by New Lenox police for driving without a seat belt and wound up in Will County jail.

Kyle Chillemi was pulled over at 1:45 pm. Jan. 15 at Cedar Road and Joliet Highway. Police then learned that he was also driving on a suspended license. It wasn't until police inspected the car before it was towed that they discovered a controlled substance, Suboxne, said Deputy Police Chief Bob Pawlisz.
