Domestic battery complaint

Rafael Jackson, 26, of Lockport, was charged with domestic battery after an incident in the 500 block of E. Illinois Highway. According to the report, he was taken to Will County jail.

Burglars rob Little Joe's Restaurant

Police are investigating a reported burglary at Little Joe's Restaurant, in the 300 block of N. Cedar Road. An undetermined amount of money was stolen.

Check bounces at AJ Hot Dogs Restaurant

According to the report, police were called to AJ Hot Dogs, in the 300 block of W. Route 30, in regard to two bounced checks. A complaint was filed by store staff after two checks totaling $50 were returned; they were stamped "non-sufficient funds."

MONDAY, OCT. 29

Profit goes up in smoke

Police were called to Speedway Gas Station, in the 500 block of S. Cedar Road, after employees discovered that 30 cartons of cigarettes, valued at $2,100, were stolen. The matter is under investigation.
