Pothead Chicago Heights Man Caught Stealing From New Lenox Walmart: Cops

The man stole from the superstore and also had some marijuana, police said.

A Chicago Heights man caught stealing from Walmart was holding marijuana when she was arrested, police said.

Wesley Gibson, 22, of 1125 Emerald Ave. was charged with retail theft and possession of cannabis in connection with his 8:30 p.m. Thursday misadventure at the West Lincoln Highway superstore.

An officer sent to the Walmart was told "Gibson removed merchandise from the shelf, concealed the merchandise and left the store without paying for the merchandise," police said. "While taking Gibson into custody the officer discovered that he was in possession of a small amount of cannabis."

Gibson was taken to the Will County jail.
