Possession Charge For Joliet Driver

Daniel S. Ford, 22, of the 100 block of Illinois Street in Joliet, was charged with possession of marijuana, driving with a suspended license, driving without insurance, driving with one headlight and obstructing justice. He also was arrested on an in-state warrant. Ford was stopped at about 2:59 a.m. near the intersection of Maple Road and Silver Cross Boulevard for having only one working headlight. He allegedly gave police a fake name before he was arrested.

WEDNESDAY, MARCH 20

Cell Phone Burglary

A burglar took a box of cell phones from a store in the 400 block of Nelson Road. The burglary was reported at 10:25 a.m. The investigation remains under review.
