Police Investigating Trespassing to New Lenox Home

A resident on the 700 block of Turtledove Lane told police someone entered her home in the middle of the night but fled before police arrived.

A resident awoke early Tuesday morning and found someone in her home in New Lenox, but the suspect fled before police arrived.

Police are investigating charges of criminal trespassing and battery, Deputy Chief Bob Pawlisz said, but he could give few other details because of the ongoing investigation.

Pawlisz said a lone offender entered a home on the 700 block of Turtledove Lane at 3:50 a.m. Tuesday and committed battery. No one was injured or taken to the hospital, but no further details about the attack were released.

Pawlisz would not say whether the resident knew the trespasser. Nothing was reported missing from the home.
