Police Blotter: Walmart Shoplifter Caught With Drug Equipment

New Lenox police reports, Oct. 14-17.

SUNDAY, OCT. 16

Walmart Shoplifting

Jessica S. Tulley, 18, of the 700 block of Princeton Lane in New Lenox, was charged with retail theft and possession of drug equipment. Police responded to Walmart, where Tulley was being held and accused of shoplifting. Police said she tried to take makeup and cough medicine, and they also found a pipe used for drugs. She was given a court date.

Phone Stolen

A resident in the 1100 block of Elm Drive said someone stole a cell phone from a car parked on the street.

In-State Warrant

John G. Plump, 49, of Harvey, was arrested on an in-state warrant following a traffic stop. Police said Plump was driving with a loud muffler and pulled him over. They discovered Plump was driving with improper registration and had a pipe used for drugs in his car. He was given traffic tickets and taken to Will County Jail for the warrant.

Property Damage

Someone smashed the rear tail light of a car parked in the 2900 block of Rebecca Drive.

FRIDAY, OCT. 14

Purse Stolen

A woman's purse was stolen while she was at Charleyhorse Restaurant in New Lenox.
