THURSDAY, APRIL 12

Scooter Stolen

Someone stole another person's scooter at Wildflower Park. The scooter was valued at about $60. 

Property Damage

A mailbox was damaged at a home in the 18000 block of Spring Creek Street.

WEDNESDAY, APRIL 11

Walmart Theft

Two cell phones valued at $500 total were stolen from Walmart.

Suspended License

Barbara Barajas, 21, of the 100 block of Hickory Street in New Lenox, was ticketed for driving with a suspended license and no insurance after police randomly ran her plates near Wildwood Road and Joliet Highway. 

TUESDAY, APRIL 10

Car Damaged

Someone scratched a car parked in the Metra commuter lot at 300 N. Church St.

License Violations

  • Isaias Ramos, 29, of Blue Island, was ticketed for driving with a suspended license and no insurance after police randomly ran his plates on Laraway Road.
  • Carmilla Portis, 26, of Joliet, was ticketed for driving with expired registration and a suspended license.

Property Damage

A window was shattered on a building in the 100 block of Haines Street.

Fraud

A resident told police that someone used her banking information to withdraw about $1,275. 

MONDAY, APRIL 9

Silver Cross Theft

Cheryl Fisher, 52, of Ottawa, was charged with retail theft. Police said she stole $19 of merchandise from the gift shop inside Silver Cross Hospital.
