Police Blotter: Teen Burglarizes Cars, Then Hides in One

SUNDAY, JUNE 3

Meds Stolen

An unknown offender stole prescription medicine from a home in the 1700 block of Nelson Road. 

Suspended License

Juna Tovar, 32, of Joliet, was ticketed for driving with a suspended license after police randomly ran his plates near Route 6 and Gougar Road.

Plant Stolen

Someone stole a potted plant from the back porch of a home in the 900 block of Winter Park Drive.

Cars Burglarized

A New Lenox juvenile was taken into custody after he was found hiding in a car. Police were called to the 2900 block of Royal Court in New Lenox in regard to "suspicious juveniles" at about 1:30 a.m. One teen was found hiding in a car he didn't have permission to be in. Police said he was in possession of various items from other cars that were burglarized in the area. 

Is Your Refrigerator Running?

A refrigerator was taken from a driveway in the 600 block of Goldfinch Lane. The resident told police someone else was coming to pick it up before it was taken.
