Police Blotter: Target Theft, DUI Charges

New Lenox police reports, June 22-24.

SUNDAY, JUNE 24

Target Theft

Jamie Butryn, 34, of the 2300 block of East Route 30 in Mokena, was charged with retail theft. Police said she tried to conceal merchandise in the New Lenox Target and leave without paying. The police report didn't specify the type of merchandise. 

Window Broken

Someone broke a window to a home in the 100 block of East Wood Street.

Suspended License

Mozelle Bryant, 57, of Chicago, was ticketed for driving with a suspended license after he was stopped by a New Lenox officer who noticed an obstructed registration sticker.

DUI Charge

Joshua Kanuch, 28, of Chicago, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, driving with a suspended license and driving without insurance. . 

Suspended License

Chereatha Lindsey, 20, of Joliet, was ticketed for driving with a suspended license after police stopped her for driving with an obstructed windshield near Gougar Road and Route 30. 

Bank Fraud 

A resident told police that someone used her bank account information to make purchases of less than $100. 

FRIDAY, JUNE 22

DUI Charge

Jose Pensado, 21, of Joliet, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, illegal transportation of alcohol and driving without a valid license or insurance. Police said Pensado was driving erratically near Route 30 and Interstate 80 at about 3 p.m. 

License Violations

  • Bulmaro Reyes, 22, of Joliet, was ticketed for driving with a suspended license and no insurance after police randomly ran his plates near Route 30 and Interstate 80.
  • Irene Ibarra, 42, of Joliet, was ticketed for driving with a suspended license and no insurance after police randomly ran her plates near Route 30 and Gougar Road.
