License Violations
- Karmarni Gaitor, 38, of Chicago, was ticketed for speeding and driving with a suspended license.
- Juan Alvarez-Martinez, 22, of Joliet, was ticketed for driving with a suspended license after police randomly ran his plates near Independence Drive and Nelson Road.
SUNDAY, MARCH 18
Property Damage
Two residents reported that someone damaged the side mirror of their vehicles. One was parked in the 600 block of Bobwhite Lane, and the other was parked in the 400 block of Nelson Road.

SATURDAY, MARCH 17
DUI Charge
Rita Fitzpatrick, 59, of River Forest, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and running a red light. Police say Fitzpatrick ran the light at Cedar Road and Hickory Street at about 9:50 p.m. She was given traffic tickets.

Beer Theft
Someone stole a case of beer from the Jewel-Osco on Nelson Road at about 6:55 p.m. Saturday.
Property Damage
A mailbox in the 2400 block of Peregrine Drive was damaged by an unknown person.
FRIDAY, MARCH 16
DUI Charge
Joseph Walczak, 24, of Mokena, was charged with driving under the influence of marijuana and improper lane use. He was given traffic tickets.
Arrest Warrant
Gayle M. Gleespen, 30, of the 400 block of Manor Drive in New Lenox, was stopped by police, who said she was speeding near Interstate 80 and Route 30. Police discovered she had an active warrant for her arrest in Cook County. Gleespen posted bond and was released.
Property Damage
Police say a home in the 200 block of Third Street was "ransacked," including damage to the drywall.
