Bike Stolen

A resident on the 600 block of Sojourn Road told police that a bicycle was taken from an open garage at the house.

Wandering Child

Police responded to a call that said a small child was wandering alone at 5:17 p.m. on the 2300 block of East Joliet Highway, behind Target. An officer was able to locate the child and a parent, and no charges were filed.

Reckless Driving

A caller told police someone was driving recklessly near Laraway Road and Foxwood Drive. When police responded, they said they saw Daniel R. Hamburg, 18, of Orland Park, swerving his vehicle. Hamburg was charged with reckless driving and reckless conduct, and was given traffic tickets.

Suspended Licenses

  • Ernesto Hernandez, 33, of the 1800 block of Heatherway Lane in New Lenox, was charged with driving with a suspended license after police randomly ran his license plate near Nelson and Shagbark roads. He was given a traffic ticket.
  • Mario Leon, 31, of Joliet, was charged with driving with a cracked windshield after police spotted him near Cedar Road and Illinois Highway. After pulling over Leon, police discovered he was driving with a suspended license and without insurance. He was given traffic tickets.
  • Steve F. Pretzel, 39, of the 900 block of Southgate Road in New Lenox, was charged with driving with a suspended license after police randomly ran his license plate near Illinois Highway and Ogden Road. He was given traffic tickets.
