Police Blotter: New Lenox Man Attacks Someone Outside House of Hughes

New Lenox Police reports and Will County Sheriff's Department reports, May 31 - June 5.

SUNDAY, JUNE 5

Criminal Damage to Vehicle

An officer was dispatched to the 100 block of Cottonwood to respond to a complaint of mirror damage on a vehicle.

Aggravated Battery

Matthew Murphy, 36, of 800 block of Meadowridge in New Lenox was charged with aggravated battery after officers reportedly saw him lying in the roadway in the 200 block of East Route 30. The officer also located a victim behind the House of Hughes who identified Murphy as the offender, according to the report. Murphy was taken to Will County Adult Detention Facility.

Reckless Driving

A patrol officer randomly ran the license plates of Zachary Stohr, 20, of the 200 block of Rossford, New Lenox, revealing his license was suspended, according to reports. Stohr was issued a traffic ticket.

FRIDAY, JUNE 3

Possession of Marijuana

Kyle Coleman Boyer, 19, of New Lenox was charged with possession of marijuana and possession of drug equipment after officers reportedly investigated a criminal damage to property. Coleman Boyer was issued a notice to appear for the charges.

WEDNESDAY, JUNE 1

Driving Under the Influence

Pamela Davis, 62, of Hazel Crest was cited on charges of speeding, disobeying a traffic control device and driving the influence after a patrol officer reportedly observed her actions. Davis was issued traffic tickets for the violations.

TUESDAY, MAY 31

Driving Under the Influence

Donald Ekhoff, 36, of Joliet was cited for several traffic citations including an obstructed windshield, operating an uninsured vehicle and driving under a suspended license. Officers discovered the violation on patrol on Illinois Highway and Western road, according to the report. Ekhoff was issued traffic tickets for violations.

Driving While License Suspended

Cari Cline, 26, of Manhattan was issued traffic tickets for improper use of registration, operating an uninsured vehicle and driving while suspended. An officer on patrol randomly ran the license plates and revealed the registration belonged on a different vehicle, according to reports, and discovered the additional violations. Cline was issued tickets for the violations.

Theft

An officer was dispatched to the 2300 block of East Washington for a report of the theft of a utility trailer, valued at approximately $1,000. The incident is under investigation by authorities.

Driving With a Suspended License

Lyndsay Marks, 24, of Joliet was cited for operating an uninsured vehicle and driving with a suspended license after officers randomly ran his license plates, according to reports. He was issued traffic tickets for the violations.
