Police Blotter: Multitude of Suspended Licenses; Window Broken

New Lenox Police reports, May 23-26.

THURSDAY, MAY 26

Suspended Licenses

Arsha Robinson, 21, of the 1000 block of Arthur in Joliet, was arrested and charged with driving on a suspended license. According to the report, Robinson was stopped at US 30 and Gougar Road after an officer saw that Robinson had tinted windows. Robinson was issued traffic tickets.

Alondra Arcos, 33, of the 1200 block of Brown in Joliet, was arrested and charged with driving on a suspended license, police said. According to the report, a patrol officer randomly ran Arcos’ license plates near US 30 and Interstate 80, which revealed that she had a suspended license. The officer also discovered that Arcos did not have valid proof of insurance. She was issued traffic tickets.

WEDNESDAY, MAY 25

Familiar Driver

Michael Fahey, 42, of the 100 block of Oakview in New Lenox, was arrested and charged with driving on a suspended license, police said. According to the report, an officer saw Fahey driving near the intersection of Charleston and Ogden. The officer has had previous contact with Fahey and knew that his license was suspended. Fahey was issued traffic tickets.

Suspended License

Matthew Preston, 24, of the 900 block of Ogden in New Lenox, was arrested and charged with driving on a suspended license. According to the report, a patrol officer randomly ran Preston's license plate near Illinois Highway at Wildwood and saw that his license was suspended. Preston was issued traffic tickets.

One Headlight, One Suspended License

Douglas Akerlund, 21, of the 100 block of 4th Street in New Lenox, was arrested and charged with driving on a suspended license. According to the report, Akerlund was pulled over on the 800 block of US 30 for having only one working headlight. The officer discovered the suspended license during the traffic stop and issued traffic tickets. 

TUESDAY, MAY 24

The Old Headlight-License Combo

Steven Hill, 44, of the 3800 block of Canterbury in Ricthon Park,  was arrested and charged with driving on a suspended license. According to the report, Hill was pulled over near US 30 and Spencer for having only one working headlight. The officer discovered the suspended license during the traffic stop and issued traffic tickets. 

MONDAY, MAY 23

Broken Window

An officer was sent to the 2400 block of Nelson Road to check on a complaint of damage to property. The resident said an unknown person or persons broke a window. The case is under investigation.

Theft at Walmart

A theft for an unknown amount of merchandise was reported to police by an employee at Walmart, 501 E. Lincoln Hwy., police said. The case is under investigation. 

Fraud Alleged

A person living on the 1000 block of Star reported to police that an unknown person charged $50 to her credit card. The case is under investigation.
