iPad Stolen from Car

A car was burglarized on the 2800 block of Rydal Street in New Lenox. An iPad, camera bag and radar detector were reported stolen.

ATV, Tools Stolen

Someone broke into a shed on the 200 block of West Illinois Highway and stole a 2009 Yamaha Raptor ATV, as well as a weed trimmer, hedge trimmer, snow blower and leaf blower, according to a police report.

Between Aug. 11 and Aug. 16, someone entered a detached garage on the 900 block of South Cedar Road and stole various tools, including an L-4 laser, a pipe rodder, a sewer camera, two chainsaws, two concrete saws, a generator and a pipe threader.

MONDAY, AUG. 15

Not the Best Van to Hit

Jose L. Farias, 57, of Joliet, was charged with driving without a valid license and improper lane use after he hit a Will County Jail transport van. Two officers were in the van, as well as a 20-year-old male inmate being transported. No one involved in the accident was injured. Police said Farias changed lanes erratically, causing him to hit the back of the county jail van.
