Police Blotter: Man Charged With Possession, Aggravated Assault

THURSDAY, OCT. 27

License Violations

  • Lucas Caporal, 23, of Joliet, was given traffic tickets for driving with tinted windows and a suspended license.
  • Craig S. Knight, 28, of Mokena, was given traffic tickets for driving with a cracked windshield and suspended license and registration.
  • Christopher M. Finney, 30, of Shorewood, was given traffic tickets for driving without insurance or a valid driver's license after police randomly ran his license plates near Cedar and Maple roads.
  • Juan P. Tovar, 31, of Joliet, was given traffic tickets for driving with a suspended license and no insurance after police randomly ran his license plates near Maple Road and Silver Cross Boulevard.
  • Rafael Guzman, 56, of Joliet, was given traffic tickets for driving with a suspended license and no headlights.

WEDNESDAY, OCT. 26

Controlled Substance

Kyle C. Ballard, 18, of the 2100 block of Sanford Drive in New Lenox, was charged with possession of a controlled substance and aggravated assault in a public place. Police did not immediately return phone calls seeking further information. His bail was set at $750.

Property Damage

Someone shattered the rear window on a car parked in the 1000 block of South Cedar Road.

License Violation

Larry C. Triplett, 50, of the 100 block of Joliet Highway in New Lenox, was given a traffic ticket for driving with a suspended license after police randomly ran his license plates near Cedar and Maple roads.

TUESDAY, OCT. 25

License Violation

Tynishia Z. Clayton, 21, of Joliet, was given traffic tickets for driving without headlights, with a suspended license and without insurance.

MONDAY, OCT. 24

TV Stolen

Someone stole a TV from a garage in the 500 block of Augusta Lane.

Home Burglarized

Cash, electronics and jewelry were stolen from a home in the 1000 block of Southgate Road while no one was there.

SATURDAY, OCT. 22

DUI Charges

Thomas A. Fisher, 25, of the 2400 block of Bluestone Bay Drive in New Lenox, was charged with driving under the influence, driving without insurance and resisting a police officer after a traffic stop in the 20200 block of LaGrange Road in Frankfort. His court date is Dec. 7.

THURSDAY, OCT. 20

Marijuana Possession

Following a traffic stop, New Lenox police said they found marijuana and drug equipment on two people. Ricardo Galindo, 28, of Addison Trail, and Anthony D. Bond, 36, of Dolton, were both charged with possession and posted bond. Galindo, the driver, was also given traffic tickets for driving with improper lighting and driving without insurance.

Cars Burglarized

  • Electronics were stolen from an unlocked car parked in the 1000 block of Regan Road.
  • Someone stole cash and electronics from an unlocked car parked in the 1000 block of London Road.

TUESDAY, OCT. 11

Clothes Hidden in Baby Stroller

Elisa R. Mendez, 33, of the 800 block of West Wind Drive in New Lenox, was charged with retail theft at the Orland Park Mall. Mall security told police that a woman later identified as Mendez left a department store around 4 p.m. with two baby shirts hidden in her stroller. The items totaled $74, according to the report.
