Police Blotter: Laptop, GPS, Cash Stolen from Cars

THURSDAY, MAY 10

Cash Stolen

A woman in the 500 block of Livingston Drive said someone stole about $500 cash from her purse. 

Property Damage

Someone flattened the tires on a car parked in the 1000 block of Star Lane.

TUESDAY, MAY 8

Car Burglary

A laptop valued at $1,500 was taken from a car parked in the 500 block of Shannon Lane.

License Violations

  • Joel Martin, 27, of Joliet, was ticketed for driving with a suspended license and no insurance after police randomly ran his plates near Route 30 and Gougar Road.
  • Simon Segunado, 44, of Joliet, was ticketed for driving with a suspended license and no insurance after police randomly ran his plates near Route 30 and Interstate 80.

MONDAY, MAY 7

Car Burglary

A GPS unit was stolen from a car parked in the 2800 block of Ferro Drive.

Warrant Arrest

Kristina Whitsett, 38, of Park Forest, was stopped by police and ticketed for speeding near Calistoga Drive and Laraway Road. After stopping her, police discovered she had an active warrant for her arrest in Cook County for the failure to appear in court.

License Violations

  • Ernesto Contreras, 40, of Joliet, was ticketed for driving with a suspended license and no insurance after police randomly ran his plates near Route 30 and Gougar Road.
  • Amber Farley, 27, of Joliet, was ticketed for driving with a suspended license and no insurance after police randomly ran his plates near Route 30 and Interstate 80.
  • Stanley Knight, 24, of Country Club Hills, was ticketed for driving with a suspended license and no insurance after police randomly ran his plates near Cedar Road and Central Avenue. 
  • Casmiro Rodriguez, 38, of Joliet, was ticketed for driving with a suspended license and an obstructed windshield.
  • Claudia Guzman, 24, of Rockdale, was ticketed for driving with a suspended license and expired registration.
