Police Blotter: Heroin Possession, Hospital Fight

New Lenox police reports, March 9-11.

SUNDAY, MARCH 11

Car Stolen

Someone stole a car from the driveway of a home in the 400 block of Cedar Road in New Lenox.

Battery at Hospital

Thomas Benson, 31, of the 400 block of Circlegate Road in New Lenox, was charged with battery after hitting someone at Silver Cross Hospital at about 4:30 a.m. Police said Benson was being treated at the hospital and was intoxicated. He was taken to Will County Jail pending a bond hearing.

Property Damage

  • The window of a home in the 1400 block of West Francis Road was broken.
  • Someone damaged the well at a home in the 2800 block of Dorsett Lane.

Suspended License

Juan Morales-Lopez, 29, of Joliet, was ticketed for driving with a suspended license and improper registration.

Heroin Possession

Trent Bartolomucci, 19, of Abbey Court in New Lenox, was charged with heroin possession and driving under the influence of drugs after police responded to a single car accident he was in. Bartolomucci was taken to Will County Jail pending a bond hearing.

Property Damage

  • Someone broke a window on a home in the 1400 block of Silver Cross Boulevard.
  • The rear window of a vehicle parked in the 1400 block of Echo Drive was broken.

Identity Theft

A New Lenox resident told police that someone used his credit card information to make about $900 of purchases in Florida.

FRIDAY, MARCH 9

Property Damage

Someone scratched a car parked in the 1100 block of North Pine Street.

Suspended License

Gabriel Sloan, 32, of Joliet, was ticketed for driving with a suspended license and expired registration.
