Property Damage

Someone damaged a mailbox in the 700 block of Lake Court.

Home Burglary

Various items were stolen from cars parked inside a garage in the 400 block of Siesta Drive.

Cars Burglarized

  • Two unlocked cars were entered in the 400 block of West Haven Avenue. Change was stolen from one and electronics were taken from another.
  • Someone stole cash and electronics from an unlocked car parked in the 300 block of Gina Drive.

License Violations

  • Carleen M. Chalupa, 36, of the 900 block of Ogden Road in New Lenox, was ticketed for driving with a suspended license and without insurance after police randomly ran her license plates near Illinois Highway and Prairie Road.
  • Samantha K. Gutierrez, 23, of Joliet, was ticketed for driving with a suspended license, a cracked windshield and no seat belt.

Fake Name Given to Police

Sebastian Linares, 20, of Joliet, was taken to Will County Jail after a traffic stop turned up a warrant for his arrest. Police randomly ran his license plates and discovered Linares was driving with a suspended license. When police pulled him over, he gave them a fake name and false ID card, but later admitted his real name, which resulted in the in-state warrant and an additional charge of obstructing justice.

False Insurance Card

William A. Bass, 51, of Manhattan, was ticketed for driving with expired registration, no insurance and a false insurance card. When stopped by police, Bass gave them an insurance card that had been canceled in October.
