SUNDAY, JULY 17

Police Find Weed on Palos Man

Claude Zivojinovic, 35, of Palos Hills, was charged with possession of marijuana after police randomly ran his license plates and discovered he was driving without a valid license. Police searched his vehicle and found 6.7 grams of marijuana, according to the report.

Property Damage

A resident on the 2000 block of Nelson Road told police that a window on the home was damaged overnight Saturday.

While investigating a previous call about property damage, an officer noticed a vehicle on the 800 block of Westwind Drive that had its side-view mirror damaged.

Suspended License

  • Gustavo Montalvo, 43, of Joliet, was charged with driving with a suspended license and without insurance after police stopped him near Gougar Road and Haven Avenue. Police said Montalvo made an unspecified traffic violation. He was given traffic tickets.
  • David Tibble, 35, of Joliet, was charged with driving with a suspended license after police saw he didn't have a front license plate on his car near Gougar Road and Haven Avenue. He was given traffic tickets.
  • Brett Parsons, 40, of Joliet, was charged with driving with a suspended license after police saw he didn't have a front license plate on his car near Laraway and Nelson roads. He was given traffic tickets.
  • Kimberly Garrison, 24, of Harvey, was stopped near Route 30 and Marley Road by police, who said she was improperly displaying her license plates. Police discovered she was driving with a suspended license and she was given traffic tickets.

Car Mirrors Damaged

Two incidents were reported to police late Saturday night in which cars parked on the 700 block of Teal Drive in New Lenox had their side mirrors damaged.

Suspended License

Sergio Lopez-Zavala, 29, of Joliet, was charged with driving with a suspended license after police randomly ran his license plate near Route 30 and Vancina Lane. He was given traffic tickets.

FRIDAY, JULY 15

Cars Broken Into

Police investigated two calls Friday morning in which car windows were smashed in with an unknown object and electronics were stolen from the vehicles on the 2000 block of West Haven Avenue.

Suspended License

Keith Cross, 25, of Joliet, was charged with driving with a suspended license after police randomly ran his license plate near the Kmart on West Route 30. Cross was also charged with driving without insurance and was given traffic tickets.
